Recently, Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Taman Mini Jakarta officially opened, The Ascott Limited’s first property opening in 2023 – with plans to add more than 4,000 units, with more than twenty new buildings, across seven new cities in Indonesia.
Strategically located in the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah area, Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Taman Mini Jakarta provides 124 modern furnished rooms – offering range from the classic Superior to the luxurious Presidential Suite. Perfect for long or short stays, the property is equipped with meeting room facilities – suited for corporate events, private gatherings, and intimate events – and amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Ascott Hotels is also entering the international market, after securing a new management contract for Malaysian and Thailand hotels under the HARRIS and Preference brand. Opening under Ascott Hotels, the HARRIS Sunshine Penang in Malaysia in Q4, 2023, and the Poh Chaopraya in Bangkok, Thailand in Q1, 2024, will be the first HARRIS and Preference properties outside Indonesia.
Ascott’s expansion has a geographic reach to seven new cities in Indonesia – Lubuk Linggau, Banjarnegara, Tanjung Pandan, Cilacap, Batu, Bogor, and Palembang – ranging from economy to upper-upscale hotels and serviced residences to meet guest demand.
Ascott Indonesia recently received the Indonesia’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand award at the Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards (ITTA) 2022/2023, held in Jakarta. Two Ascott properties also received awards – Indonesia’s Leading Service Apartments & Suites 2022, Ascott Sudirman Jakarta, and Indonesia’s Leading Design Hotel 2022, YELLO Hotel Harmoni Jakara. Ascott has expanded its Indonesian holdings to include 85 hotels and serviced apartments (with over 13,500 units), in more than 20 cities, Since Oakwood’s incorporation into Ascott’s portfolios last year.
