AIRASIA SUPER APP AND ARCHIPELAGO INTERNATIONAL SIGN A PORTFOLIO EXPANDING PARTNERSHIP AT THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNING CEREMONY

On February 2, 2023, airasia Super App announced a direct partnership with the Southeast Asia’s largest hotel management group – Archipelago International. The Memorandum of Understand (MOU) partnership signing ceremony – a signing with over 40,00 rooms and residences across over 200 Southeast Asian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Oceans location – was at The Grove Suites Jakarta on January 31, 2023.

This direct hotel partnership paves the way for supporting airasia Super App’s efforts to support the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s target of 7.4 million foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in 2023 and allows airasia Super App user to access many leading Archipelago International properties – including ASTON, The Alana, Kamuela, Harper, Quest, NEO, fave, and Powered by Archipelago.


The MOU signing was attended by airasia Super App Emerging Markets Head Lim Ben-Jie, Archipelago International President & CEO John M Flood, and Archipelago International Commercial Vice President Chris Legaspi.

Airasia Super App Emerging Markets Head Lim Ben-Jie said, uniting strong brand presence and extensive network will create a symbiosis of mutualism that benefits all stakeholders while also contributing to Indonesian tourism industry growth supports.


Mr. Ben Jie said, this wide connectivity partnership, with its robust ecosystem, reemphasizes airasia Super App’s strength to optimize its 51 million passenger and 1.25 million daily active user database. In addition to this, airasia Super App connected with more than 700 global airlines – allowing more cross-sell marketing opportunities and increased right-targeted hotel partner visibility presentation.
